A man believed to be behind more than a third of thefts from a Tesco supermarket has been jailed.

Scott Warner targeted three different shops across Bedworth, Warwickshire and was found guilty of 41 charges of theft.

The 42-year-old from Bedworth was sentenced to 40 weeks in prison at Coventry Magistrates Court on 28 January. He was also handed a criminal behaviour order banning him from entering the stores or wearing face coverings in any of Bedworth town centre's shops for three years.

The Tesco supermarket in Bedworth sits under a hotspot area and has been subject to a targeted plan for crime reduction in the last year, Warwickshire Police said.
