Man dies on M69 after medical episode behind wheel

A man has died on the M69 after suffering a medical episode at the wheel, crashing his car.

West Midlands Ambulance Service were called to the motorway in Ansty, Rugby, near to Junction 1 on the M6, shortly before 06:00 GMT.

The service said it believes the man suffered a medical incident at the wheel, and was in a critical condition.

A spokesperson said: "Despite the best efforts of ambulance staff, it became clear that nothing more could be done to save him. He was confirmed deceased at the scene."
