The two-day air festival will feature warbirds and jets, organisers say

A new two-day air show has been unveiled for 2026.

Hampshire Air Festival is set to take place at Thruxton Aerodrome, near Andover, Hampshire, on 12 and 13 September.

Promoters are promising biplanes, warbirds, fast jets, formation aerobatics and pyrotechnic aircraft, along with a light show, drone display and fireworks.

It has being organised by Montserrat Events, which was behind the Victory Festival and Air Display at Lee-on-the-Solent.

Speaking to BBC Radio Solent, Jonathan Moore of Montserrat Events said: "We're calling it the Age of Flight so we are going to be having the Great War team, so the old biplanes and triplanes, moving through to the celebration of the 90th anniversary of the Spitfire, through to modern jets.

"With the demise of Bournemouth [Air Festival]... I think that we've got a great opportunity and we can attract a great number of people to come and enjoy what we feel will be a really good air show."

Tickets went on sale on Friday morning and the first flying displays are set to be announced in the coming days.
