Man killed in crash in County Fermanagh

Police have named a man who died after a single-vehicle crash in County Fermanagh as Francis Lynch.

It happened on the Dernawilt Road in Lisnaskea just after 16:20 GMT on Thursday. The road, which was closed for some time, has reopened.

Emergency services attended the scene but the 69-year-old driver, who was from the Rosslea area, died at the scene.

Meanwhile, a woman is in critical condition after being knocked down in east Belfast.

Police said the pedesterian was hit at Hawthornden Way shortly after 17:25 on Thursday, and was taken to hospital.

They have asked anyone with information or dash-cam footage of either incident to contact them.
