Two men have been charged with attempted murder after a man was seriously injured in a shooting.

Officers were called to an address on Mount View in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, at about 23:30 GMT on 31 January after reports of shots being fired. A man in his 20s was left in a critical condition, while a woman suffered minor injuries.

Tyrese Henry, 21, and Mikey Large,19, both of Birmingham, were charged after they were arrested on Wednesday. The pair were also accused of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

They were due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court on Friday.

The man who was injured remained critically ill, said police.
