Rhys Edwards and Talan Vincent are alleged to hold extreme right wing views

Two Cardiff men have denied planning terrorist attacks against Muslim and Jewish targets in the Welsh capital.

Rhys Edwards from Heath, and Talan Vincent, from Whitchurch in the city, both 18, are alleged to hold extreme right wing views.

They stand accused of planning to attack the Madina Mosque, in Cathays, as well as Muslims celebrating Eid in Roath Park.

The Old Bailey heard allegations that they researched and visited target locations and planned to obtain firearms as part of preparations for the attack.

The defendants pleaded not guilty and were held in custody ahead of trial at Bristol Crown Court on 1 February 2027.

It was also alleged they discussed attacking a synagogue in the city.

It was alleged Edwards would carry out live-streamed attacks, while Vincent would provide practical assistance and advise.

Both denied preparing terrorist acts between 1 October and 16 November last year.

The pair spoke only to confirm their names and enter not guilty pleas.

A bail application by Vincent was rejected by Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb.
