Police search for 82-year-old last seen a week ago

Police are continuing to search for an 82-year-old man who has been missing for more than a week.

Michael Burrell, from Canewdon, Essex, was last seen on Friday 15 August when he was thought to be wearing a white T-shirt and jeans, as well as an Apple watch.

Essex Police officers have been searching Barling, Little Wakering and the surrounding areas, as well as Canewdon and Wallasea Island.

Acting Chief Inspector James Edmunds said: "We are growing increasingly concerned for Michael's welfare, and members of the public in these areas may see officers at work while we try to find him."
