Woman in life-threatening condition after crash

A woman in her 20s is in a life-threatening condition following a multi-vehicle collision which closed a major road.

The collision, which involved five vehicles, occurred on the eastbound carriageway of the A303 near Amesbury, in Wiltshire, just before 14:00 GMT on Sunday.

Wiltshire Police said two other people, including a child passenger, sustained minor injuries.

The road was closed in both directions between the A36 and the A360, but National Highways said it reopened at about 04:20 on Monday.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage is asked to contact police.
