Motorway reopens after serious crash

The M5 has reopened after a serious crash involving a single-vehicle.

According to traffic monitoring site Inrix, the closure was in place northbound between J14 for Thornbury and J13 for Stroud after vehicle left the carriageway at about 05:40 GMT.

Emergency services were at the scene and drivers were diverted along the A38 from Falfield to Whitminster.

National Highways said the road has since reopened.
