Motorway crash leaves driver with head injuries

Police are looking for witnesses after a motorway collision on Valentine's Day left a driver with a head injury.

A black Vauxhall Insignia and a blue Honda Accord crashed on the M5 northbound between junction 25 at Taunton and junction 24 at Bridgwater at about 20:10 GMT.

The Vauxhall driver suffered a head injury and needed hospital treatment, Avon and Somerset Police said.

The driver of the Honda had minor injuries. No arrests have been made.

Police want anyone with information to contact them.

In particular they want to find the driver of a vehicle travelling in lane three, the highest speed lane, immediately before the crash.
