Three people have been arrested after the body of a woman in her 50s was found next to a major road.

Police were called to the A47 near Dereham in Norfolk at 00:30 BST on Wednesday after a member of the public reported a body.

A man and woman, both in their 30s, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving, failing to stop and failing to report a collision. A second man, in his 50s, was arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.

All three were released on bail until 9 December and the vehicle involved has been recovered.
