The body of a woman in her 50s has been found next to a major road.

The A47 had to be closed in both directions near Dereham in Norfolk at 00:30 BST but was reopened fully at 11:10.

Emergency services were called to the roadside following reports of a body being seen, and Norfolk Police is treating the death as unexplained.

The woman was wearing a purple top with a burgundy fluffy jacket, black trousers, a black beanie style hat and black Adidas shoes. Police are urging witnesses to come forward.
