Woman charged after crash that killed couple

A woman has been charged following a crash in which a husband and wife died.

Police were called to the B1106 near Brandon, Suffolk, in April 2023. The crash involved a Nissan Note and a Jeep Cherokee.

The driver and the passenger of the Nissan, who died at the scene, were Dilipan Sebastiampillai, 43, and his wife Dorota, 41, from Haringey, London.

Jasmine Dessaure, 36, of Linden Walk, Beck Row, was charged on Thursday with two counts of causing death by careless driving. She was remanded into custody before a hearing at Ipswich Magistrates' Court on Friday.
