Police shut house to tackle anti-social behaviour
Devon and Cornwall PoliceA house has been shut for three months after police deemed it to be a base of anti-social behaviour.
Officers served a closure order on the property on Fore Street, Troon, near Camborne, on 1 October, making it an offence for anyone to enter the property, Devon and Cornwall Police said.
It said there had been reports of noise disturbances, people visiting the address at all hours, suspected drug dealing and drug taking in and around the house.
The tenants had been offered advice about relevant support services, police said.
Insp Lou Brown said: "Decisions to obtain these orders are never our first choice, we'll always do our best to work with the owners and/or tenants to solve the issues before we escalate our response.
"The detrimental impact that this behaviour was having on local residents was significant and we needed to take action to keep our community safe."
