Motorist killed in crash with HGV on the A17

A motorist has died in a collision involving a car and an HGV in Lincolnshire.

Police said emergency services were called to the crash on the A17 Sleaford bypass between the Holdingham roundabout and the junction with the A153 at about 01:00 GMT.

The driver of a Citroen Berlingo, a man in his 50s, suffered fatal injures during the collision with a white MAN lorry, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said: "We are asking anyone with dashcam footage, or anyone who saw the vehicles before or after the incident, to get in touch."
