Puppy dumped on towpath making 'fantastic' progress
Ravens RescueA puppy found dumped in a wet box on a canal towpath is making "fantastic progress" and gaining weight, rescuers said.
Little Comet was found in Four Ashes in Wolverhampton just days before Christmas along with two other dachshund puppies who unfortunately died, charity Ravens Rescue said.
She was given intensive care by rescuers to treat her worms and help her put on weight.
"She is gaining weight and her tummy is much better," the charity said. "She is loving the kindness and support from her foster momma and we really appreciate all the kindness from the public too."
Ravens RescueA "good Samaritan" discovered the box on 22 December.
One puppy was already dead and another, named Vixen, died after she and Comet were taken to the charity near Dudley.
Comet has been cared for by a foster family ahead of her possibly being available for adoption.
Rescuers have appealed for anyone who may know who dumped the dogs to contact them.
