M18 reopens after crash caused rush hour delays

The M18 has reopend after being closed for several hours when a car crashed off the road between Doncaster and Rotherham.

The road was shut between Junction 2 at Wadworth Interchange for the A1M and Junction 1 for Rotherham from about 06:20 GMT until 10:30, National Highways said.

A spokesperson said the vehicle had "left the carriageway and has come to rest near a boundary fence".

Drivers had previously been warned to expect delays of up to 30 minutes while emergency services dealt with the incident.
