Man arrested for attempted murder after stabbing

Police were called on Sunday after a man was stabbed

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a victim was found with stab wounds.

Police were called just before 22:15 GMT on Sunday to Mortimer Road in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, after a man in his 40s was found injured.

On Wednesday night, police arrested a 44-year-old man in Brixton, south London. He will be transported to Suffolk for questioning.

The victim was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, although his condition has since been described as serious but stable by Suffolk Police.
