Motorist in hospital after serious crash

A driver sustained serious injuries following a crash on a road.

Devon and Cornwall Police said officers were called to Dean Hill, near The Broadway, in the Plymstock area of Plymouth at about 18:00 GMT on Friday to reports of a single vehicle crash.

The force said a white Audi Q3 was involved in the incident and the man who was driving had been taken to hospital. A male passenger in the car had minor injuries, it added.

Police said a road closure was put in place while investigations took place and anyone with information or dash-cam footage has been asked to get in touch.
