Tributes have been paid to a "funny and honest" 26‑year‑old man who was shot dead near Euston station.

The Metropolitan Police said CCTV showed Nahom Medhanie was shot several times while sitting in a white Nissan Juke in Chalton Street at around 22:30 BST on Saturday. The suspect arrived and left on a bike, police said.

No arrests have been made and inquiries are continuing.

In a tribute, Medhanie's family said: "Nahom was more than a son and a brother to us and since his passing it has been the hardest days of our lives."

They added: "He was funny, honest and would just light up the room with his presence and that's what we loved most about him."

Police are urging anyone with information to contact police on 101, quoting CAD 8032/28MAR, or to speak to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
