Woman arrested on suspicion of terrorism offences

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of terrorism offences.

The 29-year-old was arrested at an address in the Aston area of Birmingham on Monday morning and taken to a police station for questioning.

She was detained on suspicion of encouragement of terrorism, and on suspicion of dissemination of terrorist publications.

The arrest was made during a pre-planned police operation.
