Five remain displaced after roof damaged in storm
BBCPeople evacuated from their homes due to storm damage may be displaced for another three months, according to a development director.
A total of 50 residents were forced to leave the Mon Plaisir complex in Green Lanes, St Peter Port, in January after part of the roof was damaged by a tree in Storm Goretti, with winds reaching 90mph (145kmph). Most residents have been able to return home.
John Merrien, director of Island Development Limited, said five people were still staying in winter-let accommodation due to further bad weather delaying repair work.
"We're hoping, at the moment, for the end of May, all of the work should be done... everybody should be back in their apartments," he said.
He previously said it was a "great relief nobody was seriously hurt".
"We've had a piece of the covering fly off one roof and hit another, which did the damage," he said.
"That's two out of the three buildings. The third one, the roof just started to lift a little bit."
Merrien said residents had been "fantastic", and added "everybody's looked at this and realised it's not a blame game".
"Everybody's just really pulled together. I think we've seen the very best of the Guernsey community response," he said.
