Fire crews tackle major blaze in Grimsby

People living near the blaze on Fountain Street have been told to keep their windows and doors closed

Firefighters are tackling a major blaze in Grimsby.

Humberside Fire and Rescue said it received a call at about 16:00 GMT reporting a fire at a workshop on Railway Street.

"We have six fire engines and an aerial ladder in attendance," a spokesperson said.

Humberside Police said it was supporting the fire service and advised people to avoid the area.

People were also asked to keep windows and doors closed.

The fire service said the blaze had not spread to any other buildings.
