Pregnant woman dies following two-car crash

Cathrene Kith Quiñones Singco, who died after the crash on Sunday, was pregnant

A pregnant woman in her 30s has died following a crash in County Antrim on Sunday.

Police have named her as Cathrene Kith Quiñones Singco, and they said her baby also died as a result of the collision.

The two-car crash happened just after 14:00 GMT on the Moira Road in Crumlin.

Singco, who was a backseat passenger, was taken to hospital but later died from her injuries.

A man in his 30s, also a passenger in the same car, was critically injured.

Six other people suffered minor injuries.

The collision happened in the Moira road area of Crumlin on Sunday

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) said it sent six ambulances and one air ambulance to the scene.

A spokesperson said four people were taken to Antrim Area Hospital by ambulance, while four were taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital - three by ambulance and one by air ambulance.

The road has now re-opened.
