A cyclist in his 70s has died in a crash with a lorry.

It happened on the A6 south of Hackthorpe, near Penrith, at about 11:40 GMT.

Cumbria Police said emergency services attended but the cyclist, who was a local man, died at the scene.

An investigation is under way and the force has appealed to anyone who witnessed the crash or who has dashcam footage to come forward.
