A car burst into flames after crashing on the A14 and overturning into a roadside ditch.

Suffolk Police officers were called to reports of an accident on the road's westbound carriageway near Kentford at 07:35 BST.

Upon arrival a Peugeot 206 was found to be "well alight", before firefighters from Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket extinguished it.

The crash resulted in a road sign being damaged and one lane having to be closed, which caused delays for motorists. The BBC understands nobody suffered any injuries.
