Four teenagers are being sought by police investigating the fatal stabbing of 18-year-old Michael Ababio.

He was stabbed outside Foleshill Library on Broad Street, Coventry, at about 21:40 GMT on 22 February and pronounced dead the following morning.

West Midlands Police has appealed for help in finding Shakeel Ahmed, Mouhammadou Barry, and Ismail Nabeel, all aged 17, and Mahad Mohammed, 19, who are wanted for arrest.

Det Insp Nigel Box said: "We've made a number of efforts to locate and arrest the four teenagers we are naming today, and now need the public's help as that work continues."

The force said it has carried out a number of warrants in the Coventry and Stratford area since the attack.

The officer added: "I need anyone who knows where they may be, or where they have been since Sunday, to get in touch straight away and talk to us.

"Michael's family deserve answers, and we will not rest until that happens."

A fundraiser launched for the victim's family has raised more than £6,000 in less than a week.

Two people were previously arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender in connection with the murder and a 19-year-old man who was found nearby with stab wounds was taken to hospital and initially arrested on suspicion of murder.

Police said he had been de-arrested on that charge but remained in custody on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
