A cyclist has died following a crash with a tipper truck at a pedestrian crossing.

The man, in his 30s, was riding an electric-assisted pedal bike at a crossing next to the Herring Bridge junction on South Denes Road in Great Yarmouth, at 11:25 GMT on Thursday when the collision happened.

He died at the James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston.

Norfolk Police has appealed for witnesses to come forward, and said the cycle had been heading west, towards the bridge, while the blue and yellow tipper was travelling northbound, towards Great Yarmouth.
