Cyclist seriously injured in crash

A cyclist has been seriously injured in a crash in Shrewsbury.

West Mercia Police said he was struck by a black Renault Clio at about 16:35 GMT on Thursday, on Lancaster Road.

The man, in his 30s, was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital for further treatment.

Officers have asked for anyone who witnessed the collision or who have dashcam footage to get in touch.
