Three doormen have admitted killing a 30-year-old man outside a bar in Doncaster.

Jamie Kelly, from Leeds, died in hospital a day after he was seriously injured in an altercation after being ejected from a venue in Silver Street in May 2022.

Mark Rowing, 37, Dwayne Watson, 44 and David Williams, 30, all pleaded guilty to manslaughter through gross negligence at Sheffield Crown Court.

The trio were standing trial for the killing, having previously denied the offence, but changed their pleas on Wednesday.

Rowing, of Doncaster, Watson, of Worksop, and Williams, of Nottingham, are due to be sentenced at the same court on 30 April.

Det Ch Insp Andy Knowles said: "Jamie Kelly and his family have been at the heart of our extensive investigation since the moment we received the first call to the scene, and I hope today's developments can begin to provide a sense of closure for everyone who knew and loved him.

"We await the sentencing in April and ask that the family's privacy is respected as they continue to grieve."
