The whole West Midlands Metro line is down because of a major power issue, the operator said

West Midland Metro services across Birmingham, the Black Country and Wolverhampton have been suspended because of a "major power failure".

Due to the power issues, the operator said it was unable to make announcements at stops or put details on its information boards.

Tickets and passes are being accepted on National Express buses and West Midlands Trains as the outage is investigated.

The tram network runs across four zones between Edgbaston Village to Wolverhampton railway station and St George's.
