Man charged with manslaughter following assault

A 45-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter after the death of another man in Oxford.

Stanley Saxon, of no fixed address, was arrested following reports a man in his 60s had been punched in St Aldate's on Saturday afternoon.

Thames Valley Police later said the victim had died of his injuries in hospital on Sunday.

Mr Saxon appeared at Oxford Magistrates' Court on Tuesday where he was remanded to appear at Oxford Crown Court on 22 August.
