Hundreds turn out for city's Christmas market
BBCHundreds of people visited Hull city centre on Saturday for events taking place as part of a Christmas weekend.
There were stalls selling food and festive gift ideas along King Edward Street with live music performances and panto on a stage in Queen Victoria Square.
Councillor Rob Pritchard, from Hull City Council said it was "one of the best Christmas markets we've had for years".
Hull's Christmas weekend continues between 10:00 and 16:00GMT on Sunday.


"It helps people get out, get into the spirit of Christmas, but also traders and helps get more people back into the city centre," Pritchard said.
Emily Novell who was selling her handmade jewellery said it was good to chat to people.
"It's nice now that it's stopped raining and people are coming out a bit more," she said.
Samantha Gibson, who was selling products from her store said: "It's been really busy.
"To say it's raining, everyone still comes out, no matter what," she added.
Hull Museums' annual Victorian Christmas event will also take place on High Street between 11:00 and 16:00 on Sunday.
