A Sussex Police officer has been charged with sexual offences against two girls more than eight years ago.

He is due to appear at Reading Magistrates' Court on Friday.

Davis, based in Brighton and Hove, has been suspended from duty, a police spokesperson said.

A Professional Standards investigation will take place following the outcome of criminal proceedings, the force added.
