Overturned vehicle shuts A27 Emsworth-Chichester

A stretch of the A27 has been closed after a vehicle overturned.

The road has been shut both ways on the Hampshire-Sussex border between the A259 near Emsworth and the A259 near Chichester. National Highways said the vehicle overturned shortly after 06:00 GMT.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said the road was "likely to be closed for a number of hours".

Drivers are being diverted off eastbound at the Emsworth Interchange to join the A259 eastbound and westbound off the A27 at the Fishbourne Roundabout on to the A259 to rejoin the A27.
