Diane Morgan stars in new railway safety video
Govia Thameslink RailwayActor and comedian Diane Morgan is starring in the UK's biggest rail operator's first-ever train safety film.
Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) says it is aiming to reduce the 800 "preventable injuries" that happen across its network every year.
It names Gatwick Airport, Brighton and East Croydon as its top stations for accidents.
Speaking about the campaign, Morgan says she has "always been a strong advocate for rail safety".
"Unlike some of my comedy contemporaries, who would love to see passengers fall down stairs or get their head trapped in the closing doors, I have always made it quite clear that rail safety is my number one priority," she said.
Govia Thameslink RailwayTwo people are injured every day on average at GTR stations due to passengers taking risks such as running for trains, obstructing the doors or carrying excess baggage on escalators, according to new data from the firm.
The Travel Safe with Diane Morgan video highlights such "common station safety no-nos", with the comedian seen sprinting down the platform and trying to stop closing train doors.
GTR says its survey of 2,000 people suggested 32% of passengers did not realise running for a train could be unsafe.
Samantha Facey, GTR's health, safety and security director, said some of these habits were "so ingrained that they stop feeling like risks at all".
"We want customers to pause, take their time, and travel safely, and I hope this film is a step towards that," Facey said.
"If you've ever sprinted for a train, wrestled luggage on to an escalator, or tested a closing door, watch the film. It might just change your mind."
