A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a teenager was fatally stabbed outside a mosque.

Zeshan Afzal, 18, was discovered with serious injuries on Oldbury Road in Smethwick, West Midlands, following disorder on Friday evening. He died shortly afterwards.

West Midlands Police said the suspect was in custody for questioning, and their inquiries were ongoing.

The force repeated a call for people to come forward with information including mobile or dashcam footage.

Two other men suffered non-life threatening injuries during the incident.
