Road reopens after A52 bridge repairs near hospital
National HighwaysA section of a major road has reopened "earlier than planned" after a new beam was installed as part of a long-running bridge repair project.
The A52 roundabout bridge, next to the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham, was damaged when it was hit by a lorry transporting an excavator in 2018.
A full road closure on the A6514 Middleton Boulevard was in place between 20:00 and 06:00 GMT from Friday until Monday.
But National Highways said the work was completed 12 hours ahead of time, which allowed for the road to be opened earlier than expected.
