Call for art to celebrate town's 200th anniversary
East Riding of Yorkshire CouncilAn East Yorkshire art gallery is calling for entries for its annual open exhibition.
Goole Museum wants local artists to submit their work as part of the town's 200th anniversary celebrations.
The museum said the Bicentenary Open Art Exhibition welcomed "all subjects and mediums, including paintings, illustrations, textiles, sculptures, ceramics and digital entries".
Those selected will be put on display from 21 March until 16 May.
Dr Alex Ombler, curator at Goole Museum, said: ''This year we'd like to encourage entrants to submit artwork that celebrates Goole's rich heritage, but all subjects will be considered by our panel of selectors.
''We'd also like to invite new entrants to submit their work at the museum, which is a very friendly and welcoming place.
"The gallery for our temporary exhibitions is a great space to showcase and, or, sell your work.''
Entry forms can be collected from the museum or downloaded here.
