Murder investigation after injured man dies
GoogleA murder investigation is under way after a man was found with serious injuries at a house in Nottingham and later died.
Emergency services were called to a property in Ryeland Gardens in The Meadows just after 05:30 GMT on Saturday.
Nottinghamshire Police said the man was treated at the scene by paramedics but died a short time later.
A 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody, the force added.
Det Insp Clare Gibson, from East Midlands Special Operations Unit, said the investigation was "still in its early stages" but that the man's death was being treated as suspicious.
"We don't currently believe there to be any threat to the wider public," she added.
"We are working to understand exactly what happened inside this address, so there will be a significant police presence in the area while this takes place."
Anyone with any information has been urged to contact police.
