Tram disruption due to damaged overhead lines
NETTram passengers in Nottingham have been warned to expect disruption for most of the day due to damaged overhead cables.
Nottingham Express Transit (NET) said services were unable to run between The Forest and Bulwell, and between The Forest and Highbury Vale, on Friday.
The tram operator said engineers had been working hard to fix the issue since Thursday evening.
The tram operator advised people to allow extra time for their journeys.
NET said Nottingham City Transport (NCT) was accepting tram tickets and passes on its yellow line buses between Bulwell bus station, Cinderhill Island and the City.
East Midlands Railway is also accepting tram tickets between Hucknall/Bulwell and Nottingham railway station, it added.
On Thursday, NET said: "Our services will likely be disrupted for most of Friday due to damage to our overhead lines.
"Our engineers are working hard to fix the issue, but this will affect our Friday tram service, with no trams between Bulwell and the Forest on the Hucknall/Toton Line and no trams between Highbury Vale and the Forest on the Phoenix/Clifton line."
