Barn blaze leads to overnight operation

Fire crews tackled a large barn fire in Shropshire overnight.

They were alerted shortly after 22:30 BST on Thursday following "numerous calls" about the fire in Quatt near Bridgnorth.

Three appliances were initially sent to the standalone barn, which was well alight, Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said.

Replacement crews were brought in overnight, with the fire then being allowed to burn out under control, with firefighters remaining at the scene on Friday morning.
