The family of a 20-year-old man who died in a car crash in Gwynedd have paid tribute to him, saying he was "always the life and soul of the party".

Elis Alan Ogilvy-Bardsley, who lived in Pwllheli with his parents and two younger siblings, died in a collision on the A499 near the town at about 22:10 GMT on 28 March.

Three other people were seriously injured in the incident, which happened between Llanaelhaearn and Y Ffôr, and involved a black Ford Fiesta and a red Audi A3.

North Wales Police said an investigation was continuing and appealed for witnesses to contact the force.

In a statement, Elis' family said he had been accepted to study media at Bangor University and was a football fan who enjoyed travelling and supporting Manchester United and Wales.

"Elis was a caring and considerate son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin," they said.

"We will miss watching him laugh, joke and play with his younger siblings who looked up to him and loved the time they spent together having fun.

"We will forever miss how he lit up every room, how people would gravitate toward him and that he was always the life and soul of the party.

"We are heartbroken that Elis has been tragically taken from us. Our lives have been changed forever as a family."
