Four men have been charged with attempted murder after shots were fired during fighting on grassland in the West Midlands.

Police were called to a disorder in Ketley Fields, Kingswinford, on Wednesday, just after 01:00 GMT, where a 23 year-old man was found with stab wounds - his injuries were not thought to be life-changing.

All four men were charged with attempted murder, possession of a firearm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon.

The force added that a 23-year-old arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm was released on bail.

The four charged are:

  • Courtney Johnson, 33, of Dudley
  • Shakeel Janjua, 29, of no fixed address
  • Zayn Khan, 22, of Dudley
  • Qaseem Janjua, 22, of Netherton

They were all remanded into custody and are due to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court on Friday, a spokesperson said.
