Six men have been arrested after a man was stabbed and shots were fired on grassland during a fight, police said.

The 23-year-old was found with stab wounds just after 01:00 GMT on Friday on Ketley Fields, Kingswinford, in the West Midlands.

His injuries were not thought to be life-changing and he was taken to hospital with police also arresting him on suspicion of possession of a firearm.

More arrests were made off Oak Lane after a pursuit by armed police, including one man found hiding in a well and two men in trees.

The five arrested, aged 22 to 33, were all arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm.

The 22-year-old who was found hiding in the well needed hospital treatment for a broken leg, a spokesperson for the force added.
