A yellow weather waning for snow and ice across Northern Ireland has come to an end.

But wintry showers will continue throughout Thursday with highs of 3-6C forecasted.

There will also be some dry and sunny spells, and windchill due to the northerly breezes.

On Thursday night the showers will die away but a widespread frost is expected as temperatures drop as low as -3 or -4C in some rural areas.

This would make it the coldest night since mid-March earlier in the year.
