A 15-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder after a teenager was stabbed in Preston.

The injured boy, also 15, was attacked on Ingleton Road in the Ribbleton area at about 19:20 GMT on 17 March, Lancashire Police said.

His injuries were not life-threatening.

A boy, 15, who cannot be named because of his age, is due to appear at the youth court on Tuesday.

A 15-year-old girl who was also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, has been bailed with conditions pending further inquiries, the force said.
