A second man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of a woman.

Police were called by the ambulance service at about 12:50 BST on Thursday to a property in Chesterton Road, Cambridge, after reports of the sudden death of a woman in her 20s.

A 33-year-old man from south Cambridgeshire was arrested on Sunday evening on suspicion of her murder and remains in custody.

A 29-year-old man from Cambridge, arrested last week, has been released on bail until 2 January.

Formal identification of the victim has not yet taken place, Cambridgeshire Police said.

Det Insp Hamish Cowley said they believed it to be an isolated incident but were continuing to appeal for information.
