Overnight work to close parts of M5 and M6

Several road closures are in place overnight for the M5 and M6 so that maintenance work can take place.

National Highways said northbound lanes on the M6 would shut between junction 7, at Great Barr, and junction 10 for Walsall/Wolverhampton. The motorway will also close northbound at the eastern arm to the M5 link.

The M6 will similarly be closed in both directions from junction 5 to junction 4, near Birmingham. Meanwhile the M5 will be shut northbound from the western arm to the M6 link road.

The closures are in place from 21:00 GMT on Sunday to 06:00 on Monday.
