A stretch of the M3 in Hampshire has reopened after repairs to a bridge.

The M3 was partially closed through Monday morning while damage to a bridge joint was assessed between junction 12 for Allbrook and junction 13 for Eastleigh.

After the bridge was found to need emergency repairs the motorway was closed from mid-afternoon and overnight with traffic diverted.

National Highways said the repairs had now been completed and the motorway had fully reopened.
